THERAPY & CONSULTATION FOR GROWTH AND TRANSITION

When the life that worked no longer fits

From the outside, life might look settled. You may have built a meaningful career, relationships, a family, or a life you once worked hard to create. And yet something may be shifting beneath the surface.

Therapy or consultation can offer a private, thoughtful space to understand what is changing, listen more closely to yourself, and consider what it is you want for the rest of your life to hold.

Why people come to see me

The Next Chapter

Inner Conflict

Growth

A desire for greater self-understanding without a particular problem that needs to be "fixed"

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) begins with the idea that we all contain different parts of ourselves: parts that strive, parts that protect, parts that accommodate others, parts that worry, withdraw, achieve, or keep everything moving no matter what the cost.

These parts often developed for good reasons. But ways of coping that once served us well can become limiting as our lives change. IFS offers a way to approach these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, creating more space for choice, flexibility, and a deeper sense of being at home in your own life.

You may recognize ...

  • You are good at taking care of what needs to be done, but less certain about what you need.
  • You have achieved something you worked toward for years and find yourself wondering, is this it?
  • Parts of you want change, while another part is determined to preserve the life you've built.
  • You understand your patterns rationally, but continue to find yourself repeating the same ones.
  • You are accustomed to being the person others rely on and rarely have a place where you don't need to be that person.
  • Nothing is dramatically wrong, but something no longer feels quite right.

Change can unsettle more than circumstances.

Transitions often ask us to consider more than the decision immediately in from of us. They can bring questions about identity, relationships, responsibility, meaning, and the expectations we have carried for years.

Our work can create room to understand the different parts of you responding to change, including the ones more eager to move forward and the ones with very good reasons for wanting things to remain exactly as they are.

A PRIVATE SPACE

A place where you don't have to perform competence

For people who carry significant responsibility in their professional or personal lives, it can be difficult to find a place where nothing is expected of them. Work with me offers a confidential relationship in which you can speak freely, think slowly, be uncertain, and explore questions that may not have a place anywhere else in your life.

You don't need to be in crisis to begin

Sometimes, the beginning is simply the recognition that you would like understand yourself, or your life, differently.
