THERAPY & SUPPORT

Gender-Affirming Care

Gender can be deeply personal, complex, joyful, uncertain, or simply one part of who you are. I provide affirming psychological care for children, teens, adults, and families at many different points in that process.

You don't need to arrive with clarity. Therapy can offer space to explore questions about gender, navigate transition, work through the responses of others, or focus on the many parts of life that have nothing to do with gender at all.

Ongoing Therapy

Support for the whole person

You don't have to know where you're going before you come in.

Gender-Affirming Care

There is no single way to understand or experience gender, and no predetermined destination for therapy. Our work is guided by your questions, your experiences, and what matters most to you, with space for certainty, uncertainty, and change along the way.

  • Identity exploration
  • Coming out
  • Relationships & intimacy
  • Family relationships
  • School & work
  • Social or medical transition
  • Anxiety & minority stress
  • Life beyond transition

Therapy doesn't need to focus on gender simply because you're transgender, nonbinary or not-cis.

For Parents & Families

When a child or teen begins exploring or asserting gender, parents often have questions of their own. I help families understand what their child is communicating, stay connected through uncertainty and change, and approach decisions with curiosity, care, and thoughtfulness.

Evaluations and Letters

Pursuing gender-affirming medical or surgical care?

I provide psychological evaluations and letters of support for those pursuing gender-affirming medical and surgical care. Evaluations are collaborative, respectful, and focused on understanding your goals while meeting the documentation requirements of your surgeon, medical provider, or insurance plan.

My aim is to make the process as straightforward as possible, without asking you to prove or defend who you are.

A place to bring your whole self

Gender may be central to what brings you to therapy, or it may be only one part of a much larger story.
